TANDRAGEE, COUNTY ARMAGH – The North Armagh Motorcycle & Car Club is ecstatic to announce the highly anticipated return of the Around A Pound Tandragee 100, scheduled to roar back into action on Friday 26th June (Practice Day) and Saturday 27th June 2026 (Race Day). Widely voted the 4th Best Road Racing Course in the World, Northern Ireland’s longest national road racing circuit is primed to deliver a weekend of pure adrenaline, jaw-dropping speeds, and world-class road racing.
Following last year’s triumphant revival, the 2026 event boasts an incredible depth of entry. A stellar grid of local heroes, southern stars, and international challengers are set to tackle the ferocious 5.3-mile “mini TT” circuit. But while the entry list is packed with depth across all classes, notable is the blistering, two-way heavyweight fight for glory: Mike Browne vs. Michael ‘Micko’ Sweeney.
⚔️ A Two-Way Fight for Glory
The Superbike and Supersport encounters are locked in to host a legendary duel. In one corner stands Cork’s Mike Browne, the scorching-fast maestro who has firmly established himself as one of the sharpest road racers on the planet. In the previous Tandragee 100, Browne won the four-lap Supersport thriller, edging out Sweeney by a mere half-a-second. The quiet farmer-turned-international-phenomenon on Boyce Precision Engineering by Russell Racing machinery returns to the Orchard County in blistering form, known for his tidy, hyper-controlled riding style that perfectly disarms Tandragee’s bumpy layout.
In the other corner stands the resilient, fan-favourite veteran, Michael ‘Micko’ Sweeney. Sponsored directly by title backer Around A Pound, a previous Tandragee ‘Man of the Meeting’ and lap-record shatterer is back armed with premium BMW, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Aprilia machinery. Sweeping his way through the classic road racing calendar with scorching pace, ‘Micko’ is determined to dominate Browne and seize the headline silverware on a circuit that rewards bravery like no other.
This isn’t just a race; it’s a high-stakes chess match at 180mph between two titans of the sport.
🏆 Fresh from the Mountain: Isle of Man TT Pedigree
