On behalf of the North Armagh Motorcycle & Car Club I am delighted to be able to confirm Michael ‘Micko’ Sweeney, will compete at this year’s Around A Pound Tandragee 100.
Our Overall Sponsor, owner of Around A Pound, Gerry Rice, has been a personal sponsor of Michael’s for a number of years. ‘Micko’, our Man of the Meeting in 2022, will complete on his EM Building YZF R6 Yamaha in the Supersport Races, his MSR Racing RS660 Aprilia in the Supertwin Race and MJR (Martin Jones Racing) M1000RR BMW Superbike in the Open Races at this year’s Around A Pound Tandragee 100 event on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th June 2025.
The Club are really pleased to have Michael return once again to the iconic Tandragee 100 course, one of the few remaining ‘old school’ circuits – especially after last month, the Skerries rider claimed an emotional second place finish, in the second Supertwins race at the Northwest 200, two years since a well-documented major incident at the same event. ‘Micko’ was also a top 10 finisher in both the first and second Supertwin Races at the Isle of Man TT this year.
To welcome ‘Micko’ back, congratulate him on his successes, and cheer him on, race fans can purchase their programme and parking package online and a QR code will be emailed to them. They present this QR code to be scanned upon arrival at the event and they will be given a programme which grants access to the parking and viewing areas.
