The Around-A-Pound Tandragee 100 is the largest National Road Racing Event in NI, attracting over 150 competitors from around the globe, including the likes of Guy Martin, Derek Sheils and Derek McGee. Spectator numbers are in excess of 12,000 with television audiences also in the thousands.
The Tandragee 100 course is 5.3 miles long and takes place on public roads situated between the shallows hills of Tandragee and Markethill in Co Armagh.
The Tandragee 100 Course was voted 4th Best Road Racing Course in the World (only the TT, Macau & UGP came higher) and the word is spreading as each year we see numerous competitors from all over the world entering. For example, the ever popular duo Michal Dukoupil and Veronika Hankocyova (Czech Republic), Daniel Mettham (New Zealand), Kenny Hinck, Chris Meyer, Mathias Winkenjohann and Vassilios Takos (Germany), Enrico Rocchi (Italy) and Mel Gantly (Canada) who together provide a truly international flavour to the event.
Tandragee 100 attracts almost 300 entries, as well as the competitors from Overseas often around 30 circuit newcomers, this is proof that road racing is still very much alive and kicking in the shallow hills of County Armagh!
